| Database Browser Control is an Abstract, Dynamic, and 'On-the-Fly' Reporting Tool. When used in an application, it takes over all the 'low-level' details, freeing the developer to concentrate on the design of Reporting System. It helps create a very robust, flexible and comprehensive Reporting System. It is a RAD Tool for Reporting. The Component basically functions as a browser for displaying any custom data, in any defined format and with any custom scheme of navigation. The control can be tuned to any custom level as desired by the Application Developer. The output canvas is WebBrowser Control. All the Developer has to do is to tabulate the Reporting Scheme and code the Stored Procedures. The component addresses a very central issue of Data Reporting on the fly. It encapsulates a very major chunk of clunky code in the Main Form of any Database Application. The features such as printing, emailing, logging, saving are built into the component. With all these features it is still a very 'small' component, and highly optimized. TanDB.OCX (a) Is an abstract and general solution to all reporting problem. (b) Is a dynamic, flexible, customizable and highly optimized for performance. (c) Frees user from not switching from screen-to-screen to get required information. All the reporting and navigation is made possible on a single form. (d) Is ultimate in User-Friendliness: All that a User has to do is 'Click'. Only a 'Thought-Activated Reporting Tool' would beat this in 'User-Friendliness'. (e) Is not bound to any database type; can report from any database -- RDBMS or Non-RDBMS (like Text Files, Excel, XML Documents, etc) or a combination of these. (f) Supports Bar-Charting of the displayed data. It displays graphical data as well. · Any other format conversion code can be piped to this control. For example, HTML-to-PDF, or HTML-to-Word. (g) Is most economical considering the features it offers. |
