| This is a Freeware Windows 95,Windows 98 and Windows NT product (not tested on Windows ME or Windows 2000) for fun and amusement. It is not associated in any way with the the National Hockey League, any of that leagues individual franchises or the NHLPA. National Hockey League and ‘NHL’ are registered names for that organization. HAAKEE predicts the results of North American major professional hockey league games using published up to date statistics for individual scoring, overall team offense home and road, team power plays home and road, team shorthanded home and road, team penalties home and road. All stats are crunched into a probability algorithm with some variable constants to calibrate to actual results. Note, the results do have some randomness associated and are not repeatable. The program will run a series of 11 games between the two selected teams and provide an average score. Users may amend or change the Team data files to suit. Teams are set based on the 14 Mar 01 post-trade deadline. Be careful to follow the same delimited ',' format and pattern if modifying. Top 18 players listed are used for game play, User should have six defensemen for verisimilitude. Freeware version has locked in variables. For optimum accuracy variable constants and hard-coded team statistics must be updated and calibrated regularly. Contact author for Registration/Updates (see below). Current data to Nov 19 2001 and calibrated to current season actual results. User can modify and update team lineups easily! |
